Dette er den tempererede variant af denne art og er en af de tre arter af soldug, der findes i Danmark. På dansk kaldes denne art også for Liden Soldug. Den egner sig derfor også til udendørshold året rundt. Mine planter stammer dog IKKE fra Danmark, men fra kultivering. Denne art danner et flot rosette med lange stængler og relativt små blade for endes af stænglen, dækket af masser af klæbrige tentakler. I naturen voksen denne art oftest semi-akvatisk og til tider dækket delvist af vand. Ved meget lys får planten en fin rødlig farve. Blomsterne dannes for enden af lange stængler og er hvide. Om vinteren dør planten ned til sit hvilestadie, et såkaldt hibernacula. Denne art er at finde flere steder i Danmark. For mere information omkring udbredelsen af denne art, tryk her.
