Dette er vel nok en af de mest kendte og eftertragtede af lavlandsarterne. Dette skyldes det meget karakteristiske par hugtænder placeret under låget til kanden. Disse minder nærmest om tænderne hos en giftslange og er tilmed temmelig spidse. Denne art er hjemhørende på Borneo, hvor den er at finde i skyggefulde sumpområder. Der er en smule forskel på de øvre og nedre kander, ved at de øvre oftest ikke har ”vinger” og er noget lysere i farverne. Hugtænderne menes enten at fungere ved at logge små insekter ned af dem, så de glider og ryger ned i kanden. Nogle har også foreslået at tænderne måske fungerer til at stoppe små dyr fra at kravle op af kanderne. Der findes lidt forskellige naturlige varianter, der oftest er navngivet i forhold til oprindelsessted og farve på kanderne. Denne art kan blive kæmpe stor og kræver derfor rummelige forhold, hvis man ønsker at holde den til fuld størrelse. Bladene kan blive over en halv meter lange. Kanderne bliver op til 20 cm store. Som mindre gør den sig dog fortrinligt i terrariet og vil bestemt tiltrække lidt opmærksomhed. Dette er faktisk en relativ nem art at have med at gøre, og egentligt er det kun størrelsen, der kan volde problemer. Som andre lavlandsarter ynder den høje temperaturer (stuetemperatur og gerne lidt over) og høj luftfugtighed.
