Dette er en af de mere vidtbredte arter, der findes i store dele af Asien, Autralien, New Zealand og Tasmania. Det er en rosette-formende art med nærmest ske-formede blade. Planten vil under stærkt lys få en flot rødlig farve. Der findes et hav af varianter, der oftest er navngivet i forhold til deres lokation, som varierer mere eller mindre. De små hvide blomster dannes på lange stilke og vil danne en masse frø, der nemt spirrer alle mulige steder. Derfor anses den af nogen også som en slags ukrudt.
