Der findes også andre arter, som ikke rigtig passer i en af de andre grupper. Denne gruppe omtales til tider også som varm-tempererede selvom de findes fra både tempererede til subtropiske egne. De danner ikke hibernacula da de kommer fra lidt varmere klima, omend nogle af arterne kan opleve frost. De lever oftest kun nogle få år og en enkelt art er et-årig. De spirrer dog livligt fra de mange frø, der dannes i løbet af sæsonen. Nogle arter fra denne gruppe kan også holdes både udendørs og i vindueskarmen. De fleste arter skal holdes konstant fugtige og kan tåle lave temperaturer. Længere tids frost vil dog slå planten ihjel, men der vil spirre nye fra frøene.
De fleste arter i denne gruppe stammer fra USA, hvor de deler habitat med mange af de andre kødædende plante-grupper.
