It is very beautiful and incredibly easy to care for, making it an excellent beginner plant. It differs from, for example, \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.apieceofnature.dk\/products\/vibefedt-pinguicula-x-tina\" title=\"Vibefedt (Pinguicula x Tina)\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePinguicula x Tina\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, by having slightly smaller leaves; however, these leaves can take on a beautiful reddish\/bronze-like color under strong light. The flowers are large and purple. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eButterworts are a fun group of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.apieceofnature.dk\/collections\/kodaedende-planter\"\u003ecarnivorous plants\u003c\/a\u003e that form sticky leaves upon which small insects land and get stuck. There is actually a single butterwort species found in Denmark, namely \u003cem\u003ePinguicula vulgaris\u003c\/em\u003e. Like many other carnivorous plants, butterworts do not tolerate fertilizer in the soil and cannot tolerate lime in the water. Furthermore, they must be kept very moist (the soil must not dry out).
