Anthurium and bromeliad plants most often originate from tropical forests in Central and South America. Many are climbing or epiphytic plants with thick roots that require a coarse soil to support them. This soil therefore contains an extra amount of orchid bark and coconut chunks. In addition, perlite and activated charcoal have been added for drainage and protection against mold and fungus.

Tips for caring for Anthurium
As Anthuriums and Bromeliads originate from tropical rainforests, they enjoy high humidity and regular watering. Let just the top of the soil dry out between waterings. Furthermore, it is a good idea to regularly mist the plants with lime-free water.
