Growing passion flower from seed

Growing passion flowers from seeds requires a bit of patience, but it is also an exciting process. The seeds often have a hard shell and can take longer to germinate, but with the right conditions, you can achieve beautiful and vigorous plants.

The most important thing is to provide the seeds with warmth, moisture, and time. Many find success by soaking the seeds in water or juice before sowing and then placing them in a bright and warm spot. Once the plant is established, it is generally easier to care for and develops quickly under the right conditions.

The difference between passion flower and passion fruit

The terms passion flower and passion fruit are often used interchangeably, which can cause confusion. The passion flower is the plant itself, while the passion fruit is the fruit of certain species of Passiflora.

This means that some varieties are primarily grown for their decorative flowers, while others can also develop edible fruits. If you want fruit, it is therefore important to choose the right varieties, as not all passion flowers produce fruit.
