Aroids originate from the rainforest and therefore most often live in moist soil with good nutrition, aeration, and drainage. This soil is custom-made for these specific needs. Worm compost provides good nutrition that is slowly released to the plants. Perlite and coco chips provide structure and drainage, ensuring that the large roots get their oxygen. Activated charcoal ensures that the moist soil lasts a long time without rotting or smelling.

Tips for caring for Aroids
Aroids require moderate watering. Let the top few centimeters of soil dry out between waterings. Stick your finger into the soil to get a sense of how moist the soil is. They appreciate a bit of extra humidity, which can possibly be achieved by spraying them with a water mister (preferably use lime-free water). They should not be placed in direct sunlight and are therefore well-suited for bathrooms, for example. To get larger plants, they should grow up a pole or trellis.
