In a long line, the little white geese come along – naturally in single file, each wearing a fine red ribbon around its neck.
A charming paper cutout with a simple and nostalgic look that fits beautifully with the red and white colors of Christmas. The little geese bring to mind winters in the countryside, old farms, and a simpler kind of Christmas decoration, where animals and nature are allowed to be part of the story.
Let the geese march through your Christmas decorations
Cut out the little geese and let the whole flock march across a shelf, through a windowsill, or among the Christmas decorations on a set table.
They can be distributed here and there among spruce, pinecones, candles, and other Christmas ornaments. The white geese and red ribbons make them especially lovely with classic Christmas decorations, but they also fit well into a simpler, nature-inspired Christmas.
Perhaps they are on their way somewhere. Where to is for the rest of the Christmas story to decide.
Hand-painted Danish paper cutout
The paper cutout is designed by Tall Hat Tales and has a charming hand-painted expression, where the small details give the geese plenty of personality.
The motif is simple, but the red ribbons provide just that touch of Christmas that makes the flock a cozy December decoration. At the same time, the geese can easily stay up as winter decorations once Christmas is over.
Single file – quite literally
When people walk one after another in a long line, we say they are walking "in goose file" (the Danish equivalent of walking in single file). And the expression is, of course, inspired by the geese themselves.
Geese often move together and follow one another, both when walking on the ground and moving between their resting and feeding grounds. In the sky, we know them especially from their characteristic formations, where the birds fly together on their long journeys.
In this paper cutout, the single file is taken quite literally, with a little flock of white geese faithfully following one another through the Christmas season.
