Tropical Slow-Release Organic Plant Food
- Long-lasting, organic nutrition for Monstera, Philodendron, Alocasia, and other fast-growing tropical houseplants
Tropical BIO Slow-Release Plant Food is a simple, stable, and sustainable way to provide your tropical houseplants with a steady stream of nutrients for months at a time. This organic slow-release fertilizer consists of small bio-granules that break down gradually in the soil, releasing macro- and micronutrients at a pace perfectly suited to the natural growth rhythm of tropical plants.
The granules are based on natural waste streams such as soybean meal, cocoa shells, and feather meal, and they contain biostimulants (Bacillus sp.) that work in symbiosis with the soil to increase the root's ability to absorb nutrients. The result is strong roots, lush foliage, and more consistent, stable growth — without the need for frequent fertilizing.
Why choose BIO slow-release for tropical plants?
Tropical plants are fast-growing and use nutrients at a pace that regular fertilizer rarely keeps up with. By providing one big “boost” followed by a sharp drop, classic fertilizers can stress the plant and create uneven growth. This organic bio-fertilizer releases nutrients slowly and in a balanced way, mimicking the way tropical plants would receive nutrients in nature – layer by layer from decomposing organic matter.
- 120 days of stable nutrition
- Ideal for Monstera, Philodendron, Alocasia, Calathea, etc.
- Full-spectrum nutrition – both macro- and micronutrients
- Biostimulants (Bacillus sp.) – improve microbial life and absorption
- 100% bio-based – no synthetic additives

With slow-release, your plants get calmer, more natural growth, stronger roots, and beautiful, vibrant leaves.
How to use Tropical BIO Slow-Release Plant Food
Existing pots:
- Sprinkle 1 scoop (10 ml) on top of the soil in a Ø17 cm pot. Water as usual.
When repotting:
- Repot the plant as usual.
- Only 180 days after repotting: Mix 1 scoop (10 ml) into 2 liters of soil and distribute evenly.
Tips for use
- Fertilize only during the growing season (spring/summer). Take a break in autumn and winter.
- Less is more – tropical plants thrive on stability, not large doses.
- Do not dissolve in water – the granules are used directly in the soil.
- Ferns: Use half dosage, as they are sensitive to over-fertilization.
- Do not use the product for the first 180 days after repotting.
How the BIO-granules work
The small bio-granules break down gradually in the soil mixture, releasing stable amounts of organic nutrients every time you water. This means:
- fewer fluctuations in nutrient levels
- fewer signs of deficiencies or stress
- stronger root development
- more consistent leaf and stem growth
The slow, natural release of the granules creates a nutrient profile that matches the appetite of tropical plants and ensures healthy growth over time.
