Create a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere with The Royal Life Guards – a charming paper cutout featuring a little boy guard inspired by the Royal Danish Life Guards. The motif consists of a drum corps, a band, and a flag bearer, all dressed in colors that evoke the Royal Life Guards' distinctive gala uniform.
The paper cutout is a unique Danish design, hand-painted and printed on heavy 300-gram paper. The sheet is in A5 format and printed on both sides, so the figures also look beautiful when hanging freely from a branch, in the window, or on the Christmas tree.
Cut, decorate, and create your own little guard
The figures are carefully cut out along the edges of the design and can then be used in many different ways. Hang the little guard individually on a decorative branch, use them as Christmas ornaments on the tree, or let them march across a festively set table.
The little guards are also perfect as creative place cards for birthdays, christenings, and other festive occasions. You can add a small name tag or write the guest's name on the back to create a personalized table setting with a playful Danish touch.
Hand-painted Danish paper cutout
The motifs are originally hand-painted, which gives the paper cutout a lively and personal expression. Since the illustrations on the two sides are not identical, slight misalignments between the front and back may occur. This is a natural part of the design and emphasizes the hand-drawn look.
The heavy paper makes the figures suitable for both hanging and decoration, and with a little careful cutting, you get decorations that can be stored and brought out again year after year.
Inspired by the Royal Danish Life Guards
The little boy guard is inspired by the Royal Danish Life Guards and wears the well-known colors of the Life Guards' gala uniform. The combination of musicians, drums, and a flag bearer gives the motif a classic Danish touch, which is especially fitting for Christmas, birthdays, and other traditional occasions.
The Royal Danish Life Guards were established by King Frederik III on June 30, 1658. Today, the Life Guards serve both as the royal family's ceremonial guard and as an infantry regiment in the Danish Army.
