Pink velvet banana (Musa velutina) | plant

VERY RARE!

• Latin name: Musa velutina

• Danish names: Dværgbanan, lyserød dværgbanan

• English names: Hairy banana, pink banana, velvet banana

This is a beautiful dwarf banana plant, which, as the name suggests, produces pink banana fruits. The fruits are actually edible, although the plant is most often grown only as an ornamental plant. With good care, this banana can bloom within the very first year.

This banana plant originally comes from the eastern Himalayas, but can now be found as an ornamental plant in many countries.

- Considered one of the easiest banana plants to grow
