Monarch butterfly (postcard)
Write a beautiful personal note with one of these seed cards, which will bring joy by later blooming at home. The illustration is printed on handmade, cream-colored recycled paper embedded with wildflower seeds. A beautiful, sturdy envelope made of recycled paper is, of course, included.
The Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) has wings adorned with the most beautiful patterns and is common in North America, where it is an important pollinator. The name Monarch is believed to be in honor of King William III of England, because the butterfly’s color, orange, was the origin of the King's secondary title, Prince of Orange.
To plant the seed card, it should be covered with 3 mm of soil, placed in the sun, and kept moist until the seeds have established small sprouts. Then it is simply time to enjoy one of the world's little miracles by watching these sprouts develop into flowers.
